Biography

From startups to fine art

I didn't get here through an art history degree or a gallery job. I spent the last decade in tech here in San Francisco, and collecting started as the thing I did on the side, purely because I loved it.

I grew up in Texas and spent my career as an operator at startups, the kind of work that's all spreadsheets, metrics, and moving fast. Art and watches became my counterweight. There's something grounding about an object you can actually hold, hang on a wall, or wear, and just enjoy every single day.

But when I started buying pieces for myself, I couldn't believe how confusing it all was. Auction jargon, dealer relationships you apparently have to earn, grey markets, provenance you're somehow expected to already understand. It felt like a world built to keep normal people out, and I learned it the slow and expensive way, one purchase at a time.

That's why I started Prosper Street Curators. I wanted to be the person I wish I'd had when I began: someone in your corner who knows how the market really works and has no reason to upsell you.

The bigger reason is simpler: I love this stuff, and I want as many people as possible to find their own way into it. So education is part of every engagement. I'll help you figure out what you genuinely love, teach you enough to feel confident on your own, and take the tedious, intimidating parts off your plate so you can just enjoy what you end up with. If a few more people end up caring about art and watches because of this firm, that's the whole point.

Principles

01

Transparency

Every fee is disclosed before we start. If we make money on something, you will know exactly how and how much. No surprises after the hammer falls.

02

Buyers Only

We hold no inventory, take no seller commissions, and make nothing extra when prices inflate. We work for you, full stop.

03

Discipline

Authentication, condition, provenance, and logistics get checked and documented on every purchase. Nothing gets bought on a story alone.
